This Aran weight yarn is very special indeed. In 2015 Boreray sheep were classified as 'critical' by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. However, thanks to the efforts of a small number of breeders their numbers have increased and they are now classified as 'endangered'.
This rise has enabled Blacker Yarns to create this woollen spun 100% Boreray yarn.
The yarn is undyed and has lots of character.
