Gillean hat and mittens by Karie Westermann is a straightforward design, making it suitable if you are looking for your first colourwork project. 

Karie was inspired by Caisteal nan Gillean, a Mesolithic archaeological site on the Scottish island of Oronsay when designing this pattern.

Hat: One size 58cm (approx. 23”) circumference 

Mitts: S, M, L 0 20, 23, 26cm (7.5”, 9”, 10.5”) circumference.
