The inspiration for Proserpine comes from the 19th century artist and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Among his works is a painting of Proserpine, The Roman Goddess of Spring.

2 sts and 24 rows measured over 10cm square. Karie advises that row gauge is more important than stitch count as it determines the size of the shawl. If you row gauge is very different you may want to consider increasing or decreasing your needle size. However, please bear in mind the drape of your fabric.
